A Working Class Weirdo Is Something To be
Working Class Weirdo is the 11th long form album from I Am Hologram in 10 years, and it is intended as a sequel to the all-acoustic Idiot Savant record from 2016.
The 14 tracks were recorded over the last 2 years at various places all over the country. Including one drunken night in Phoenix, Arizona. The main guitar parts were recorded on Long Island, New York in Holomomma's kitchen while she was drifting in & out of consciousness on the couch a few feet away. The vocals were recorded at Big Bear's Basement Studio in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. Which is code word for "a good friend's basement" who is normally referred to as "Big Bear".
This album is I Am Hologram's usual recipe of heading in directions you can't see coming. Comprised of 6 proper songs, noise tracks, bass solos, & a fake commercial for a fake drug. The entire 27 minutes is meant to be listened to from start to finish. Self-described as a "psychedelic acoustic experience". Please enjoy & share. I Am Hologram gets very little radio or media support, so they rely on the fans to spread the word.
